Greystones Cancer Support (GCS) Easter Fund-raising Appeal is in the process of wrapping up. What a great success it has proven to be!

We had a fabulous response, much more that was expected, to our Easter Weekend Fund-raising Appeal right across Greystones, Delgany, Kilcoole, Newtownmountkennedy and Newcastle.

The positivity shown by so many local businesses who willingly engaged in raising much needed funds to assist GCS with its ongoing vital work is much valued and particularly so in these difficult Covid-19 times.

The appeal was also important in raising awareness of the work carried out by GCS in the local community and the fact that GCS is there, ready, and available, to lend a helping help to all affected by cancer in the area.

Special thanks to all the local businesses who got involved in this wonderful fund-raising effort.

Thanks also to everyone who contributed to the appeal. Every euro collected will go towards paying for the various support services provided by GCS to our clients on an on-going basis.

The work involved in arranging, preparing for, and seeing through a fund-raiser of this nature on a busy Easter weekend was very substantial. For this we owe a huge debt of gratitude to Victor, Niamh, and Julie from our fundraising team (take a well-deserved bow all three) who with the assistance of our General Committee members planned and carried out last weekends appeal in such a successful manner. Thank you all for such a massive effort, it is so much appreciated.
