By staying connected and nurturing these relationships,  we feel happier and more secure.

Be Active

Go for a walk or a run.
Bring activity into the everyday,  take the stairs,  get off one stop early,  go for 10 minute walk.
Step outside.  Cycle.  Play a game.  Garden.  Dance.
Discover a physical activity you enjoy and that suits your lifestyle and level of mobility.
Scientists confirm physical activity can help maintain wellbeing and good mental health.

Take Notice

Be aware of the world around you and what you are feeling.
Be curious.  Catch sight of the beautiful.
Notice the changing seasons.
Savour the moment,  whether you are walking to work,  eating lunch or talking with friends.
Notice how you are feeling and thinking.

Keep Learning

Try something new.
Rediscover an old interest.  Sign up for that course.  Take on a new responsibility.
Setting yourself a new challenge and learning new skills will make you more confident.
As well,  it will be great fun !!


Giving to others is good for you.
Do something nice for someone else.
Thank someone.  Volunteer your time or join a community group.
Seeing yourself and your happiness linked to the wider community can be incredibly rewarding.
It will create connectedness with the people around you.
