Survey of Young Adults Diagnosed with Cancer

st lukes hospital dublinSt Luke’s Hospital, in association with the Irish Cancer Society and Canteen Ireland seek young adults in their 20’s, 30’s and 40’s who live in Ireland and have been diagnosed with cancer to participate in a survey. The goals are to understand the experiences and needs of young adults diagnosed with cancer and to use this information to work towards bridging gaps in support, young person to young person, and from hospital services and community supports.
To be eligible, you must be:
• In your 20’s, 30’s or 40’s
• Have been diagnosed with cancer
• Be able to read, write and communicate with ease in English
• Willing and capable to consent to answer a broad mix of questions about your cancer experience
If you are eligible to participate, you will be asked to provide demographic information, as well as answering questions about how your cancer has influenced different areas of your life. We also want to hear about your use of support resources and preferences for services if they were to be further developed to address the needs of young adults.
The survey takes approximately thirty minutes to complete and you do not need to complete it in one attempt.
We thank you for assisting us with this important effort in the interest of young adults with cancer.
