The 5th year LCVP class and Ms. Larkin at Loreto High School, Beauford organised a very successful cake sale today.
Well done to the 5th year students involved. They made some really delicious treats. A special thanks to Aisling McCullagh for all of her help as well as members of the 5th year green committee for their contribution to this learning experience and fundraiser.
The Greystones Cancer Support Group are delighted with our donation of €330.
The 5th year LCVP class are looking forward to writing their reports about the whole experience in class in the coming weeks.

Attached is photo of the €330 cheque handover. In the photo are Anne Bateman and Kathleen Kelleher from GCS. Jenny Larkin, teacher, from Loreto Beaufort. In a separate email, I have sent a link which shows photos on Cake Sale day itself. The girls are from Loreto High School Beaufort Rathfarnham. They are Fifth Year LCVP students. Their teacher is Ms. Jenny Larkin. I gave a talk to the girls last October. On foot of that, they decided to donate the proceeds of their Cake Sale to GCS. We are delighted with their generosity and very very grateful. This is a wonderful group of girls who make a special effort to think about others. And about ways of helping others in a practical way. Their school is also making a positive response to fellow students who have/have had cancer. It is a pleasure to see young people showing an awareness of those around them. They are led and inspired by their excellent, vibrant and pro-active teacher, Ms. Jenny Larkin. Greystones Cancer Support relies on voluntary donations, so their effort means a lot to us.
