Charles Egan’s Epic Saga of the Great Irish Famine Book Launch

September 14 @ 7:00 pm

Wine Reception and Book Signing

Greystones Library;  7:00 p.m.

Charles Egan is one of GCS’ own.

He is a Greystones author well known for his three novels on Great Irish Famine.

The Killing Snows,  The Exile Breed and Gold is the Dawn.

The three novels are based on 6 famine documents discovered in the old family farmhouse.

The farmhouse was located in Co. Mayo.

The stories detail the horror of the famine relief roads during savage period of Irish history.

They also tell an impossible,  but true,  love story,  spoken of in the family for generations.

Irish Post:

A powerful and compelling story of Luke and his family.

Also a vital reminder of the fragility of life,  love and survival.

Connaught Telegraph:

Famine novel likened to Steinbeck’s Grapes of Wrath.
